TRAINING IN INTERNATIONAL ANTI-CORRUPTION POLICIES

In August 2019, senior management and corporate attorneys of Hanrine Ecuadorian Exploration and Mining participated in FCPA training and policy implementation, given by Dr. Angel Cortinas, who has a PhD in Harvard, whom is formally an appellate judge on Florida’s 3rd District Court of Appeal for more than 8 years, as well serving as a trial judge, by Florida Supreme Court appointment, on civil and criminal jury trials.

Dr. Cortinas’ experience in anti-corruption matters stems from his tenure as Chief of the Fraud Section of the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Miami, he supervised twenty prosecutors and oversaw all criminal fraud investigations and prosecutions involving corporate and securities fraud, bank fraud, health care fraud, computer crimes, tax fraud and other white-collar offenses.  

Currently, Dr. Cortinas is focused on Civil and White Collar Crime, as well as involved in matters of corruption. He serves as counsel to Hanrine in the companies continued efforts towards compliance and protection from these aforementioned risks.
